Hot New Embroidery Kits from Young Edinburgh Designer

Wow, look at me! This is like three posts in a week. I wish I could always be this productive…let’s see if I can keep it up.

Today’s post is short and sweet. I recently found FOUR of the neatest embroidery kits. They’re all from the same designer, a young entrepreneur based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The name of her company is Paraffle.

” ‘paraffle’: an old Scots word meaning 1) ‘embroidery‘; and 2) ‘an ostentatious display‘”

Her embroidery kits come in banners, pillow covers, display hoops and tote bags. I was lucky enough to find two tote bags and two display hoop kits, take a look:

All her kits come in these fun boxes with a stiff paper sleeve showing the product within.

Kind of like a pizza box – very clever marketing. These kits are hot and they’re selling like hotcakes all over Europe. Sadly, it doesn’t look like you can find them anywhere in the US yet. (I couldn’t believe that I was so lucky to come across these.)

This is the Peacock. I wanted to show you a nice closeup first, but the kit I’ve got is actually for the Tote Bag.

But look what comes in the kit – these kit’s are complete and ready to get you stitching the moment you open the box.

My next kit is the “Sloth”. It’s also a tote bag kit.

But this sloth…oh my gosh – he’s so cute – I love, love, love this sloth!

The next two kits are “Display Hoop” kits.

Not only do you get the fabric, floss, needles, etc., you get an 8″ crafting hoop AND a really nice ‘display’ hoop. Just look at all the colors in this elephant. No wonder this young woman’s business is shooting straight up like a rocket.

This is the final kit in my collection – Aurora. Many years ago, my husband and I spent some time in Fairbanks, Alaska from the first of January to the end of March…literally the coldest, darkest days of the year. The one thing that made it all worth while was seeing the aurora borealis (aka Northern Lights). If you’ve never seen them you need to add that to your ‘must see’ list.

This kit brought back memories and how very rare to find any kind of a stitch kit featuring the ‘lights’.

Each of these kits are listed separately in my “Needlecraft & Supplies” category in my shop Old Raven on Etsy. I’d add a link here, but for some reason the link tool isn’t working at the moment, sorry.

I find myself fortunate indeed to have come across four of these fantastic kits, and embroidery kits are absolutely smokin’ right now, too. Grab a couple of these for yourself or get them as a special gift for a special friend.

Stay Safe Everyone, – Kriss
