Today, I have a new listing in my shop Old Raven on Etsy that I’m very excited about and though I know perhaps only a small percentage of the population will share in this view – please bare with me and my calligraphy friends as we oooh and ahhh over four little pieces of steel.
These are Joseph Gillott’s Principality nibs. These nibs are Antique, made somewhere in the late 1800’s and are very rare.
Years back, a nib aficionado made a list of what he considered the top six nibs ever made and he called it the “Dream Points”. At the top of the list is the Joseph Gillott’s Principality #1.
I’ve been searching for years to get a few of these into my shop, and finally, I have four to offer.
